1990年靖江县长里乡镇西村,在115亩耕地上,推广麦一瓜/玉米一稻、三旱一水四熟制,获得粮食亩产961.1公斤,亩产值1421.77元,亩纯收入1233.77元。分别比麦稻两熟制增加粮食24.82%,产值增加84.6%,纯收入增至1.94倍。是增粮增饲增收的有效途径。四熟制的主要特点1.充分利用时间、空间、土地和温光资源,复种指数从2提高到4,有利单产和产值的提高。2.增加了饲料来源。3.有大量的藤叶秸秆还田,有利改良土壤,培肥地力,减少杂草,促进生态良性循环。4.玉米稳产,能补偿三麦或西瓜遭灾时的损失,确保全年增产增收。5.调剂农活和劳力,西瓜、玉米的收、管、种等作业能与“四夏”大忙错开农时,能充分利用劳力。主要栽培技术:一、元麦。选用早熟矮秆、抗病抗倒伏多穗高产
