By EPI Info Software statistics analyzing, in this paper, it presents the results of reviewing the declaration data on exbound corpses through Shanghai Port during 1982-1993. The analysis indicated that the prior four causes of death of international travelers were cardiocerebrovascular diseases,malignant fumor,accidental death and sudden death,successively. There was a statistically significant difference between the mean ages at death of different causes,and it suggested that the older age group was at greater risk of suddin attack of chronic diseases. Where as using a lay-our model with sex as variable, the difference between the numbers of death at different causes was not demonstrated statistically significant. In view of the desease spectrum dominated by chronic diseases and the rapid development of international travel at Shanghai Port,it is then adviced to provide substantial health care services to the travelers and rapid development of international travel at Shanghai Port, it is then adviced to provide substantial health care services to the travelers and promote health education and health consultation in the traveling population, thus, to insure a pleasant travel for the travelers while embarking on Shanghai Port.
