让我们记住这一天,1999年10月31日。随着济(南)泰(安)高速公路正式通车.我国高速公路通车里程突破了1万公里!总里程已跃居世界第四位!我国高速公路发展虽然比世界发达国家晚了半个世纪,但发展速度之快是世界各国所没有的。特别是进入“九五”以后,中央决定实施积极的财政政策,采取加快基础设施建设的决策后,我国高速公路建设又迎来了新的春天。由“八五”期间的年平均建成324公里,发展到“九五”前三年年平均建成1300多公里,是“八五”的4倍,高述公路在我国已覆盖了28个省,市,自治区。我国高速公路已提前两个月实现了今年高速公路突破了一万公里的奋斗目标,标志着我国高速公路建设取得了阶段性的胜利!

China's expressway has achieved its goal of striving for 10,000 kilometers of freeways this year by two months in advance, marking the triumph of the expressway construction in China.
