挖掘机作业时遭遇地下公共设施而引起的严重伤害事故及重大财产损失的事件时常被新闻媒体报道。事故有时导致一人或多人死亡。因此,挖掘施工是一项危险且须小心操作的工作。北卡罗莱纳州立大学施工自动化与机器人应用技术研究所正在寻求一种避免这类事故发生的技术,一种应用非常规方法的主动式金属探测和追踪系统的样机已研制出来。该系统产生和输出一种特殊的磁场效应并在其检测范围内检测地下设施管线的耦合效应,直接安装在挖掘设备上并与其施工操作结合起来。该系统的测试已完成,其结果是令人鼓舞的。在本文中叙述的工作正在努力进行中,以开发一种有效、可靠的系统,使它能作为任何类型的建筑设备及多用途挖掘设备配套设施完成地下公共管线的探测工作。
Excavator operations encountered underground public facilities caused serious injury accidents and major property losses are often reported by the news media. Accidents sometimes result in the death of one or more people. Therefore, digging construction is a dangerous and careful operation. The North Carolina State University Institute of Construction Automation and Robotics Technologies is looking for a technique to avoid such accidents and a prototype of an active metal detection and tracking system using unconventional methods has been developed. The system generates and outputs a special magnetic field effect and detects the coupling effect of the underground facility pipeline within its detection range, which is installed directly on the excavating equipment and combined with its construction operation. The system’s testing has been completed and the results are encouraging. The work described in this article is currently under way to develop an efficient and reliable system that will allow it to be used as a probe for underground utility pipelines as an accessory to any type of construction equipment and multipurpose excavation equipment.
