文章通过数百个煤样测定,阐述了不同变质阶段煤吸附瓦斯量的变化和突出煤与非突出煤吸附量的差别。作者认为:各种煤阶吸附量在相同变质情况下,吸附量值的差别可达几倍;每克岩石的吸附量可达2.16~5.31cm~3/g 燃;突出煤的吸附量偏高,有较大波动性;非突出煤吸附量的波动性较小;吸附量与煤结构有关,受煤化过程中煤结构变化所制约。
