一汽是块光荣的土地,3个纪念碑便是最好的证明。第一碑矗立在一汽老厂区的正门广场,开国领袖毛泽东题写的“第一汽车制造厂奠基纪念”11个大字,力透石背;第二碑竖立在门内的中央大道,上题“第一汽车制造厂产品换型工厂改造纪念”,这是国务院总理李鹏的手迹;第三碑建在一汽——大众汽车有限公司的正门前,上面是党的第三代领导人江泽民的题词:“建设现代化轿车工业基地”。3个纪念碑标志着一汽的3个重大历史时期。国务院副总理李岚清和全国人大常委会副委员长王光英,于1993年7月14日专程赶到长春,为第三个纪念碑欣然揭幕,向世界宣告了共和国发展轿车工业的坚强决心。以此为标志,一汽开始昂首阔步地迈进到轿车时代。
FAW is a glorious piece of land. Three monuments are the best proof. The first monument stands in the main square of the old factory area in FAW. The founder of the founding leader Mao Zedong wrote 11 characters in the “Foundation Memorial for the First Automobile Factory” and penetrated the stone back; the second monument was erected on the Central Avenue inside the door and the title “The first “The memorial plant for the transformation of a product from a car factory” is the handwriting of Li Peng, Premier of the State Council; the third monument is built in front of the main entrance of FAW-Volkswagen Automobile Co., Ltd. and is the inscription of Jiang Zemin, the third generation leader of the party: “Build a modern car industry base.” The three monuments marked FAW’s three major historical periods. Vice Premier Li Lanqing and Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress, Wang Guangying, made a special trip to Changchun on July 14, 1993. He was pleased to open the third monument and declared to the world the firm determination of the Republic to develop the car industry. As a sign of this, FAW began to stride forward to the era of cars.
