【Abstract】This essay first introduce the background of Animal Farm and a brief introduction of the author.Then it discuss three thesis about this novel and briefly discussed about it.At last it give highly review on Animal Farm.

Introduction
Animal Farm is a dystopian and allegorical novella by George Orwell，it was first published in England on 17 August 1945.According to the author Orwell，the book reflects events which leading up to the Russian Revolution of 1917 and then on into the Stalin era in the Soviet Union.Chinese readers usually refer George Orwell as a liberalist，who has left deep image in Chinese by criticizing on totalitarianism.George Orwell made his fame by his remarkable work，1984，which remind Chinese people of the dark ages in Cultural Revolution.His works used to be forbidden in China for they were considered as anti-socialism.But what might make some people very surprise is the truth that George Orwell is actually a Democratic Socialist.
Thesis 1
Some commenters categorized Animal Farm to a pure fable or ‘a fairy story，which I think it is not true.The story about Animal Farm can be referred as a projection of Soviet Union under Stalin’s rule.One of the typical and iconic approach Orwell choose was to create characters which inspired by the real celebrates in history and made those characters fit in the roles right in their origins.In the meantime，he made this characters play similar story which is parallel with history.In this way he put the most complicated history which is hard to understand into an easy and clear structure.By doing this he made the essence of the history float out and can be easily identified，and moreover，easy to understand.For example，Old Major is an aged prize Middle White boar provides the inspiration that fuels the Rebellion in the book.He is an allegorical combination of Karl Marx，one of the creators of communism，and Lenin，the communist leader of the Russian Revolution and the early Soviet nation，in that he draws up the principles of the revolution.His skull being put on revered public display recalls Lenin，whose embalmed body was put on display.He summons the animals on the farm together for a meeting，during which he refers to humans as parasites and teaches the animals a revolutionary song called Beasts of England.Which recalls the creating of communism.By this approach he created lots of dark humors，very ironic and funny.It definitely increase the pleasure of reading this book.The allegories he made in this book are very straight，it won’t take much effort for readers to understand that Orwell use this story to recall Soviet Union in Stalin time. Another feature I am going to discuss about is the extent of the history.No matter how realistic the story of Animal Farm is，it is still a fiction.Which mean beside the history it based on，it can still extend the story line to the unknown part of the history，to guess or to foretell the future.At the very end of the story，the pigs and human beings reached reconciliation or some sort of agreement.“Twelve voices were shouting in anger，and they were all alike.No question，now，what had happened to the faces of the pigs.The creatures outside looked from pig to man，and from man to pig，and from pig to man again：but already it was impossible to say which was which” Through this way the pigs’ interests can be maximum.By the day that the book is written，there are no solid evidences that Stalin and communism party of Soviet Union sold out the people of Soviet Union by making special agreement with foreign countries which they look down as the capitalism enemies.As we all known that Animal Farm is published in 17 August 1945，what impressed me is that it did foretell the history of the reform of Soviet Union，which it is sold out the interest of the people of this country by making agreements with foreign countries but only brought profits to those who were in power.Orwell showed his great sense of history to make such significant predict.
Conclusion
In conclusion I respect Animal Farm as a masterpiece of all ages.For its wonderful story but more for it bring all human beings of all generations to think about the questions about freedom and revolution.No type of literature can like fable to bring our race to a deep self-examination of our own kind.Animal Farm is the gem of such fables.
