There have been many edict laws in the Han and Han dynasties about the “ministers” of more than two thousand stone, and many changes have taken place before and after these decrees. During the Western Han Dynasty, there were few serving funeral bearers for three years, but the law allowed the Minister to deny funeral service, and the length of bereavement leave can not be determined. Emperor Guangwu of the Eastern Han Dynasty forbade ministers from leaving for funeral, but the funeral leave was still there, it should be until it was buried. Anti-Emperor, Huan emperor, have been allowed to minister for three years once funeral, but spin and prohibit. With the prevalence of funeral rituals, the late Eastern Han dynasty minister also occasionally quit his position for three years.
