20世纪70年代初,台湾留美学生发起了保卫中国领土钓鱼岛的保钓运动,但该运动如今却鲜为人知,这很大程度上是因为资料的缺乏。笔者有幸搜集到了这场运动的最新资料,可以对这场运动再做申论。保钓运动是在世界左翼思潮、中国大陆文化大革命以及美国学生运动的影响下发生的;同时,保钓运动期间,地区性的保钓联合体如西南保钓联合会的建立对于推动该区域的保钓运动有很大的成效;保钓运动与五四运动在国际背景、起因、参加的主力等方面都有很大的相似性,保钓参与者也有意识地比照五四运动中青年爱国学生的社会担当,进而调整运动的方向目标。
In the early 1970s, Taiwanese students from the United States launched a patrolling campaign to defend the Diaoyu Islands in China’s territory. Baoduan participants also consciously compared the young patriotic students in the May 4th Movement Social responsibility, and then adjust the direction of the movement goals.
