Among the poems and works of the Song poet Zhu Shuzhen, words related to Buddhism sometimes appear, reflecting the understanding and acceptance of the scholarly women in the Song Dynasty for Buddhism. In the “Dragonfly Diary” of the Noble Female Fujiwara-kenji in Japan, there are also many narratives about the ceremony of worshiping the Buddha, which becomes an important clues for examining the relationship between the literary activities of the nobility women and the Buddhist faith. There are similarities between the two, but there are huge differences in the traditions of female literature, the relationship between Buddhist faith and literary writing, and the author’s self-examination and expression.
