金刚石是世界上最坚硬的物质,由于其硬度高,因此常用金刚石来做各种专用工具和模具。但是对于金刚石本身加工的研究,在国内还是一个薄弱的环节。自从激光器问世以后,人们曾用激光加工金刚石模具,效果很好。但它只是减少了制模加工时间,对于提高金刚石的利用率未作研究。近几年来,上海激光所用尖峰调制激光器在金刚石的切割和挖孔方面做了不少工作。1983年,上海灯泡厂和上海激光所协作,在金刚石激光定向切割问题上取得了重大突破,只需数分钟时间,就能按预定要求把金刚石切开(见表1)。这种新的切割技术,
Diamond is the hardest material in the world. Due to its high hardness, diamond is commonly used for various special tools and molds. However, the processing of diamond itself is still a weak link in the country. Since the advent of lasers, people have used laser processing diamond mold, the effect is very good. But it only reduces the molding process time, for improving the utilization of diamond is not studied. In recent years, Shanghai laser spike laser modulation in the diamond cutting and digging done a lot of work.
