“领导就是服务”是社会主义领导工作的本质,是由共产党性质、社会主义国家性质和新时期历史任务所决定的。领导者应当成为广大被领导者的服务员,为广大人民群众的利益而工作,与人民群众同呼吸、共命运,这是作为领导者唯一的天职。在当今社会主义市场经济条件下,领导服务就是要为改革、发展和稳定服务,领导者还要通过加强廉政建设、勤政建设和组织制度建设,防止领导服务本质蜕变。 “Leadership is service ” is the essence of the socialist leadership. It is determined by the nature of the communists, the nature of socialist countries, and the historical tasks of the new period. Leaders should become the waiters of the majority of the leaders, work for the benefit of the broad masses of the people, and share the same fate with the masses of the people. This is the sole vocation of the leader. In today’s socialist market economy, leading service means serving for reform, development and stability. Leaders should also prevent the essence of leadership from deteriorating by strengthening the building of a clean and honest government, diligent construction and organizational system.
