郑绪云教授是美国机械学会润滑研究组主席,任教于美国西北大学。在流体润滑,特别是在弹性流体润滑方面造诣很深。这次应上海交通大学的邀请于3月17日至3月21日讲学五次。21日下午应上海市机械工程学会的邀请,作了有关美国、日本等国的润滑理论发展概况以及流体润滑理论发展动向方面的学术报告。22日应全国摩擦磨损润滑学会的邀请,在市科学会堂进行了座谈及学术交流。郑绪云教授主要讲授了以下几个问题:(1)流体润滑理论基础;(2)静压润滑和热流体动压润滑问题;(3)滚动轴承的五种破坏形式;(4)弹性流体润滑的理论基础;(5)轧钢、轧铝中的流体润滑问题。郑绪云教授在讲学和座谈中反复强调,世界各国直到目前对滚动轴承、齿轮疲劳和胶合破坏的润滑机理还没有完全研究清楚,还没有找到一个比较精确的弹性流体润滑的数学
Professor Zheng Xuyun is Chairman of the Lubrication Research Group of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and teaches at Northwestern University. The fluid lubrication, especially in the elastic fluid lubrication, is very deep. This time, at the invitation of Shanghai Jiaotong University, it will give five lectures from March 17 to March 21. On the afternoon of the 21st, at the invitation of the Shanghai Mechanical Engineering Society, an academic report on the development of lubrication theory in the United States, Japan, and other countries and the development trend of fluid lubrication theory was made. On the 22nd, at the invitation of the National Society for Friction and Wear Lubrication, a discussion and academic exchange were held in the City Science Hall. Professor Zheng Xuyun mainly taught the following questions: (1) theoretical basis for fluid lubrication; (2) hydrostatic and hydrodynamic pressure lubrication problems; (3) five failure modes of rolling bearings; (4) theory of elastic fluid lubrication Foundation; (5) Fluid lubrication problems in rolling and aluminum rolling. Prof. Zheng Xuyun repeatedly emphasized in his lectures and symposium that the lubricating mechanisms for rolling bearings, gear fatigue and glue failure have not been fully studied in the countries of the world until now, and a relatively accurate mathematical model for elastic fluid lubrication has not yet been found.
