Chromium is an essential trace element for higher organisms confirmed by the World Health Organization. Has important biological effects on the body’s sugar, lipid and protein metabolism. Chromium is involved in the metabolism in the form of inorganic trivalent chromium and organic bioactive chromium. Chromium is an essential insulin in the metabolism of sugar and lipid and is an indispensable factor for the binding of insulin and receptor. Insulin is difficult to play a role in the deficiency of chromium, Chromium has other mechanisms in lipid metabolism and protein metabolism. Chromium deficiency has emerged in the population as one of the causes of many diseases, with the widespread consumption of refined foods and sugars, increased fats, and altered dietary patterns.
