最近读了三本书,都是论及跨世纪建筑学的。三位作者均是国际知名的建筑理论家或建筑师,他们分别从科学技术、哲学和建筑实践等三个方面考察研究了建筑学的去向。这三位作者和他们的著作,分别是美国麻省理工学院建筑与规划学院院长W.J.密契尔(William J.Mitchell)教授,书名是《比特的城市(City of Bits)》:居住在英国的建筑评论家 C.詹克斯(CharlesJencks),书名是《跳跃式宇宙的建筑学 Recently read three books, are talking about cross-century architecture. The three authors are all internationally renowned architectural theorists or architects. They examined the whereabouts of architecture from three aspects: science and technology, philosophy, and architectural practice. The three authors and their books are Professor William J. Mitchell, Dean of the School of Architecture and Planning at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the title is “City of Bits”: living in British construction critic Charles Jencks, titled Architecture of the Jumping Universe
