在Comdex计算机产品博览会内外,手持设备用作信息工具显然已是赚钱的潮流。网络公司对“便携式笔记本电脑”及其它将要推出的这类精巧设备的通信潜力垂涎欲滴,而这只是冰山露出来的一角而已。无线通信、电视和Internet等煤体,这些快速通信技术正以惊人的速度打开通信设备的市场大门,挖掘有线调制解调器、DSL技术和ISDN连接技术的市场潜力为网络公司创造了不久前还无法想象的机会。
The use of handheld devices as a messaging tool, both inside and outside Comdex Computer Expo, is clearly the trend to make money. The internet companies are coveted by the potential for communication of “portable laptops” and other devices of this kind to be introduced, and this is just the tip of the iceberg. The rapid growth of communications technologies such as wireless communications, television and the Internet is opening the door to communications devices at an alarming rate. The market potential of cable modems, DSL and ISDN connectivity has created a new and unimaginable opportunity.
