1. Present situation of China’s bus industry China’s bus industry has developed at a rapid speed. The annual bus output reached 264500 units in 1993, accounting for 22.4％ of the total vehicle output. Bus in use has reached 1.11 mill., making up 13.5％ of total vehicles in use. The characteristics of China’s bus industry over the past ten years are as follows:
