“Letter ” is not only from the black paper, it contains two meanings: “book ” refers to the letter, book, that is the language of the letter; “Letter ” refers to the messenger of the letter, the so-called Messenger “; the two constitute an organic whole, are indispensable. Before the advent of modern communication technologies, the transmission of foreign correspondence between Macao and Guangzhou became the link between the world and China. It was also the interface and transition between the modern postal system in the world and the traditional post system in China. There have been quite a lot of research results about passenger mail between Qing dynasty and Macao, but the research on ”Messenger " is a blank link. By studying the communication of Chinese messages between Macao and Guangzhou, foreign guest messengers active in the province of Macao surfaced. This is a form of underground courier of China that has never been mentioned in parallel with foreign passenger ships. It is accompanied by a network of Chinese and foreign businesses. Taking Guangzhou and Maucao as the main points, it runs a huge risk of being suppressed by government officials. And cultural exchanges have had a significant impact. As a complex and changeable postal service between Macao and Guangzhou, this flexible passenger postal messenger has contributed to the development of Guangzhou, Guangzhou and even Lingnan society in cooperation with foreign guest crews.
