文艺是民族精神的火炬,文艺家是人类灵魂的工程师。筑梦中国,离不开强大的精神支撑;振兴民族,有赖于正确的价值引领。心怀光明,自强而弘毅;踏石有痕,明辨而笃行。培育和践行社会主义核心价值观,坚守我们的价值观自信,必须发挥文艺的作用,必须弘扬文艺形象的强大感召力和文艺家勇于担当的人格力量。为了使我们的国家、民族、人民在思想和精神上更加强大起来,我们向全国文艺工作者发出倡议:
Literature and art are the torch of national spirit, and artists are engineers of human souls. To build a dreamland in China can not be separated from a strong spiritual support. To rejuvenate the nation depends on the correct value to lead. Be bright, self-reliance and Hony; stepping stone marks, discerning and Benedict. To nurture and practice the core values of socialism and to uphold our values and confidence, we must give full play to the role of literature and art. We must carry forward the powerful appeal of the image of literature and art and the personality force that literary artists have the courage to play. In order to make our country, nation and people stronger both ideologically and spiritually, we issue our initiative to national literary and art workers:
