In recent years, Nagasaki Sugisaki and Chihiro Ryuichi, Faculty of Science, Nagoya University, Japan, studied the relationship between the changes of He / Ar and N 2 / Ar (He-Helium, Ar-Argon and N-Nitrogen) in the fault gases and earthquakes. They have continuously observed the two ratios of fault gases since 1976. The results show that the values of He / Ar and N 2 / Ar will increase before the sensitive earthquake of magnitude M≥4 in Nagoya, and earthquakes usually occur after the peak value. Therefore, they believe that the change of He / Ar and N2 / Ar values in the fault gas is a precursor to the earthquake. they
