Professor Li Zonggang published the book “The Loss of Patriarchy and the Occurrence of the May 4th Movement” (People’s Publishing House, 2015 edition, hereinafter referred to as “the absence of paternity”) following the publication of “New Education and the May 4th Literature.” Why did the absence of patriarchal authority make the creation subject of the May 4th literature invariably become the pioneer of the May 4th literary revolution?
