本文论述在柬埔寨罗文县铁山地区磁异常解释推断过程中,负磁异常在找铁矿中的运用,因地球上85%以上磁铁矿在地面上引起正磁异常,而该区地层引起负磁异常,正磁异常强度相对较弱,稍高于当地地磁场背景值,结合铁山地区及周边磁铁矿石磁性参数特点,对该区内外相关的磁铁矿矿石进行磁参数测定,且在已知铁矿山进行剖面测量,发现该区的负强磁异常与铁矿关系密切,从而推断该区负磁异常为铁矿体引起,并开展异常查证工作,经钻探验证钻孔见矿率达97%,本案例说明了中低纬度地区负磁异常在找铁矿中取得显著效果,不容忽视、在本国及外国值得借鉴。
