The paper describes the signal transmission and reception principle of millimeter-wave radar technology and introduces the composition and automatic braking function of the newly developed open pit mine radar anti-collision rear-end system. Through industrial experiments and analysis at the mine site, trucks are provided with criteria for determining the safety distance under different road conditions, including truck and obstacle, truck and truck safety distance guidelines. For the first time in domestic open-pit mines, millimeter-wave radar technology has been successfully applied to mine production practices, providing advanced technical means and methods for safe production.
