实施沿海地区经济发展战略以后,中西部和边远地区怎么办?来自陕西、甘肃、吉林、青海、新疆、云南等地的人大代表,在讨论政府工作报告时集中分析了这一战略将对内地发展产生的深远影响。他们认为,机遇和挑战同时来临,希望和困难一起出现,中西部和边远地区只有抓住机遇,从封闭的格局中走出来,摒弃怕联合“吃亏”,怕“肥水外流”,怕变成原材料基地的想法,采取对策,迎接挑战,才能“挂上”沿海经济发展的“车头”一同向前奔跑。
