玉山石是指以江西三清山石为代表的信江上游地区产出的观赏石的统称。玉山县地势西北高、东南低,境内主要山脉有玉山脉和武夷山脉。怀玉山脉是赣、浙、皖三省的天然屏障,其主峰玉京峰,海拔1800多米,为怀玉山脉最高峰,也是县内最高点。三清山是怀玉山脉中最精华的一部分,是江西信江和浙江钱塘江的发源地。这座道教文化名山既是世界自然遗产,又是世界地质公园。三清山脚下的玉山县自古就出产名石,宋代杜绾的《云林石谱》中就记载了产自玉山的罗纹石:“信
