每一个中国人都有很强的家庭观念。1996年,我制作了第一套摄影作品《标准家庭》。我拍摄了二百个“三口之家”的照片放置在一起。每一个独立的单元都是当前中国社会最普遍、最基本的组织结构,它具备一个家庭最基本的信息因素:容貌、气质、性格、遗传乃至阶层等自然的和社会的种种属性。但这些信息的传达并不是我的最终目的。重复使个体的意义被忽略,每个家庭的“故事”不再被关注,单调的模式被反复强调只想传达我的提示。
Every Chinese has a strong sense of family. In 1996, I produced the first set of photography “Standard Family.” I photographed two hundred “family of three” photos placed together. Each independent unit is the most prevalent and basic organizational structure in current Chinese society. It possesses the most basic information elements of a family: natural and social attributes such as appearance, temperament, character, inheritance, and even class. But the communication of this information is not my ultimate goal. Repeatedly, the individual’s meaning is ignored, the “story” of each family is no longer being watched, and the monotonous pattern is repeatedly emphasized only to convey my hint.
