在19世纪以前,阿根廷最南端的圣克鲁斯省西面的福克兰群岛上生活着一种狼。由于福克兰群岛非常接近南极圈,因此动物学家们为此种狼取名为南极狼。南极狼可以说是世界上生活在最南端的狼。
Before the 19th century, a wolf was living on the Falkland Islands to the west of Argentina’s southernmost province of Santa Cruz. Since the Falkland Islands are very close to the Antarctic Circle, zoologists have named the Antarctic wolf for this type of wolf. Antarctic wolf can be said to be the southernmost wolf in the world.
