晚清今文经学家皮锡瑞在经学研治上成就卓著,但思想底层的经世致用意识却使其最终转向“以经论政”的治学方法。皮氏学术思想中“通经致用”与实学考据的并存,反映在《经学历史》中便是书中虽能客观如实地叙述经学在传统社会中发展演变的表现,但对经学发展过程中的许多重大环节的诠解却多有偏颇。皮氏的学术思想既是清代学风蜕变的表征,又是个人治学在时代剧变下的产物。
In the late Qing Dynasty, the modern philistine writer Pi Xirui made outstanding achievements in the study of the Confucian classics, but the concept of practical utility at the bottom of his ideology turned it eventually to the method of “studying by theory.” The coexistence of “Tongjingzhiyong” and “Practical Textual Criticism” in Peirce’s academic thoughts is reflected in his “History of Jingxue” as an expression of the development and evolution of Confucian classics in the traditional society objectively and truthfully. However, Many major aspects of the interpretation is more biased. Pei’s academic thought is not only the manifestation of the transformation of the style of study in the Qing Dynasty, but also the product of the individual scholarship under the dramatic changes of the times.
