英国通俗作家哈葛德以独特的小说话语,建构了19世纪西方现代思想意识和世界观念秩序。首先将哈氏小说译入中国的是晚清驻英参赞曾广铨,其译介的哈氏小说She以《长生术》为书名,连载于改良派创办的《时务报》上。哈氏原著She以“他者”和“自我”二元对立的话语,呈示了19世纪殖民主义语境下,世界种族文明对立、男女权势对立和观念秩序重建的话语指向。在晚清民族危亡之际,《时务报》编译西文的真正动因在于借洋人之文言维新变法。因此,从话语意义来看,小说《长生术》在政论性刊物《时务报》上的刊载有其历史的必然性。 The British popular writer Haggold constructed the order of the Western modern ideology and world concept in the 19th century with unique novel discourse. First of all, Haste’s novel was translated into China by Zeng Guangquan, Counselor to the British in the late Qing dynasty. His novel Heshe’s novel “longevity” was titled as “longevity” and was serialized in the current affairs newspaper founded by the reformist. In his discourse of “duality” of “otherness ” and “self ”, Häsar’s original writing expresses the discourse orientation of the opposition of racial civilization in the world, the antagonism of the power of men and women and the reconstruction of the concept order in the context of colonialism in the 19th century. On the occasion of the national crisis in the late Qing Dynasty, the real motivation for the compilation of the Western language by the Current Affairs newspaper lies in the fact that the reform of the law has been brought about by the language of the foreigners. Therefore, from the perspective of discourse, the publication of the novel “longevity” in the political journal “Current Affairs Newspaper” has its historical inevitability.
