At the beginning of the march of the first march, Mao Zedong still had no say in the Central Government, especially on military issues. Although he is still a member of the Central Bureau of Politics or the chairman of the Central Government, he can not participate in such major strategic decisions as the Long March. No one solicits and listens to his opinions. Fortunately, Zhou Enlai told him in advance about the strategic shift of the Red Army. He was only interested in conducting a thorough investigation into the route of the breakthrough. The breakthrough by the Central Red Army of the enemy’s blockade line is basically based on the route selected by Mao Zedong.
