厦门港位于福建省沿海南部九龙江的入海口处,岸线长154公里。港口水域面积300平方公里,陆域面积7平方公里;全港共有生产性码头74个,其中万吨级以上码头11个,最长的泊位350米,最大靠泊能力5万吨级。装卸机械设备595台（套）和42.9万平方米的库场。 1995年,厦门港全港货物吞吐量完成1313.9万吨;其中外贸货物吞吐量719.0万吨,集装箱吞吐量31.0万标准箱,旅客吞吐量20.0万人次,本港吞吐量为881.3万吨。
Xiamen Port is located at the mouth of Jiulong River in the southern coastal area of Fujian Province, with a coastline of 154 km. The harbor area covers an area of 300 square kilometers and the land area is 7 square kilometers. There are 74 productive wharves in the territory, of which 11 are wharves of 10,000 tons or more. The longest berth is 350 meters and the maximum berth capacity is 50,000 tons. Loading and unloading machinery and equipment 595 Taiwan (sets) and 429000 square meters of storage. In 1995, the port throughput of Xiamen Port completed 13,139,000 tons; of which, the throughput of foreign trade reached 7,190,000 tons, the container throughput of 310,000 TEUs, the passenger throughput of 200,000 passengers and the throughput of 8.813 million tons in Hong Kong.
