Born in Shanghai in 1918, graduated from St. John’s University in 1939 and has been in commerce and industry ever since. 1942 Deputy General Manager of Wah Ming Tobacco until the establishment of the People’s Republic of China. In 1955, Huaming merged with Huacheng Tobacco Company and was renamed as General Manager of Huacheng Cigarette Company by Shuping. From 1953 to 1956, he was the general manager of Shanghai Cigarette Co-production and Sales Company and the chairman of Shanghai Cigarette Industry Association. From 1954 to 1956, he was Deputy Secretary General of Shanghai Federation of Industry and Commerce and Deputy Secretary General of Shanghai Municipal Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference and was elected as Shanghai NPC Representative.
