珠海市投资七亿元,新建一所集医疗,科研、教育、康复为一体的大型医疗中心,其宗旨是“立足本市,面向港澳,辐射珠江三角洲”。“中心”地址在该市东北面,背山面海,环境优美,交通便利,占地47公顷,被海湾大道分隔为东西两片。西片在鸡公山麓,为临床医疗区,包括病房楼(15层),科技楼(6层,包括门诊、急诊)和行政、后勤等设施。东片临海为康复医疗区,包括康复医疗楼、疗养院、别墅式休养楼群,这三者为低层建筑。以上总建筑面积约13万平方米。市政府要求,设计构想应为“既是医院,又是康复医疗的场所、疗养院和宾馆,要具有岭南园林的特色”,两年半至三年建成。建成后的规模为门诊量3000人次/日,床位1060张(其中临床医疗760张,康复医疗150张,疗养院100张;别墅式休养楼25幢按50张床位计算),手术6000人次/年。职工预定1500
