诗歌本事批评是中国古代文学批评中的一种传统方式,在考察孟棨《本事诗》的基础上,诗歌本事批评的内在理路主要是“本事→本意→本义”这样一个思维过程,而且孟棨《本事诗》之“本事”的内涵主要源于钟嵘《诗品》。
