A study in the United States shows that adolescent girls who consider themselves unpopular are more likely to be obese than their confident and optimistic peers. The research community at the Harvard School of Public Health lasted two years and traced 4446 girls aged 12 to 18 years. The researchers set a self-assessment system up to a maximum of 10 points and asked them to rate themselves. The highest score on behalf of self-recognition “in school fully respected and has a high status ”; the lowest score on behalf of self-recognition “can not be respected by others ”.
