根据Intel 对服务器市场的规划,在未来的一至两年内,新至强服务器产品将占据PC服务器市场的主导地位,而新的至强服务器平台除了在目前能够直接提高系统性能外,也扩展了基于IA架构的系统在未来提高性能的空间。同时在至强服务器这个家族中,也划分出了双路和多路(四路以上)两大类,双路用于处理关键应用中的前端或者内容服务,多路用于运行中间件等更加复杂的应用。这次我们试用这款IBM x255也就是基于多路至强处理器(MP)的服务器。
