Objective To evaluate the value of continuous monitoring of intracranial pressure in the treatment of patients with severe traumatic brain injury. Methods 169 patients with severe craniocerebral injury admitted to our hospital were divided into two groups according to the random number table: the monitoring group (continuous intracranial pressure monitoring after operation) and the control group (no intracranial pressure after operation) Postoperative complications and prognosis. Results The rate of upper gastrointestinal bleeding, the incidence of renal dysfunction and electrolyte imbalance in the monitoring group were significantly lower than those in the control group. The good prognosis of the monitoring group was significantly higher than that of the control group (P <0.05). Conclusions Continuous intracranial pressure monitoring in patients with severe craniocerebral injury can timely grasp the changes of intracranial pressure and take corresponding treatment as soon as possible, which is of great significance for reducing complications and improving prognosis.
