美国《大众科学》2013年1月中国的秘密军火库十年前,中国军费总额为200亿美元;而今预算已经达到1000亿美元。胡锦涛曾提出解放军要在21世纪实现“历史使命”:突破传统的保家卫国的观念,建设国际军事干预能力,成为真正的超级力量。中国的军队目前正致力于海陆空、宇宙、信息等全息多维战争下的备战。在航空方面,中国制定了发射百余颗卫星的计划,自主的GPS定位系统已经初步建成。最令美国担心的激光卫星摧毁武器,已经实验成功。

Hu Jintao once proposed that the People’s Liberation Army should realize “the historical mission” in the 21st century: to break the traditional concept of “defending the patriotic state and protecting the country and the nation, and to build the capabilities of international military intervention,” and become the true superpower. China’s military is currently working on preparations for holocentric multi-dimensional war, including land, sea and air, the universe and information. In aviation, China has enacted a plan to launch over 100 satellites. An autonomous GPS positioning system has been initially completed. The most successful US satellite laser satellite to destroy weapons has been experimentally successful.
