This article describes the cell-based trials of three breeding methods of Tripsacum laxum. Reported on the results obtained from the statistical data on the planting distance and the number of plants planted per hole and briefly summarized the management, harvest and yield of Guatemala grass and its chemical composition at different growth stages. The conclusion is that, as a crop, the production of stem cuttings is higher than that of long stems or strip tillers. It is recommended to use 2.5 × 2 feet planting and planting two plants per hole. Guatemalan grass is only suitable for cutting feed animals. The results of the chemical analysis are satisfactory. Facts show that the maximum amount of protein per mu per year can be obtained if the young grass around 8 weeks old is cut.
