乾务镇地处珠海西区,经济欠发达,人口1.9万多,到2001年工农业总产值不足6个亿,就业岗位少,加上农村青年有的受社会风气影响,好逸恶劳甚至存在不劳而获和投机取巧思想;有的经济上过分依赖家庭,就业愿望不迫切或不愿到生产岗位工作;有的因自身素质低和劳动力供求信息不通畅而就业难,全镇有超过15%共740多名农村青年没有就业。
