This article describes the measurement methods and results of radioactivity in the inner shell of a research heavy water reactor. The distribution of radial and axial irradiance along the inner shell is given, and the exposure rate is 0.33 Roentgen per hour at 10 meters from the axis of the inner shell. The radioactive intensities of the inner shell: ~ (60) Co was 24 and the ~ (65) Zn was 6.9 Curie. ~ (60) Co is mainly derived from the activation of heavy water pump wear. The distribution of the stable cobalt on the surface of the three structural elements (the inner shell of the reactor, the pipes and their equipment, the process tube and the core member) of the primary cooling water circuit is substantially uniform. The measurements show that the distribution of stable cobalt is also uniform over a smaller area, for example at the surface of the process tube and the bottom of the inner shell.
