我们常用“一日不见,如隔三秋”来形容相思之苦,但我们未必知道什么是三秋,三秋指哪三秋。据考证,中国古代的三秋有三种含义:一是指时间。最早见于诗经,《诗·王风·采葛》云:“一日不见,如三秋兮。”孔颖达疏:“年有四时,时皆三月,三秋谓九月也。”也就是说最早的三秋指的是时间九个月。另见晋·陆机《挽歌》:“三秋犹足收,万世安可思!”宋·李弥逊《水调歌头·次向伯恭
