在科学社会主义理论方面，邓小平关于坚定不移地走社会主义道路的理论与毛泽东完全一致；从国情出发，开辟有中国特色的发展道路的根本原则与毛泽东相通；实现宏伟目标的长远规划和战略部署大致相同；建设社会主义的主要依靠力量与毛泽东是一致的。在确立社会主义根本任务论，确定社会主义阶段论，创立社会主义市场经济理论，确定改革为中国的第二次革命理论等方面，邓小平理论丰富和发展了毛泽东思想。
In terms of scientific socialism, Deng Xiaoping’s theory of unswervingly taking the road to socialism is exactly the same as that of Mao Zedong.
