当代中国正进入以发展社会主义市场经济为基点的现代化建设的新时期。这是一个需要、也必然要造就出新的价值观的时代。邓小平同志建设有中国特色社会主义理论,就包含着我们这个时代所需要的丰富的价值观思想。如关于解放思想、实事求是的论述,关于爱国主义、集体主义和社会主义的论述,关于社会主义本质和“三个有利于”的论述,关于社会主义精神文明建设的论述,关于尊重知识、尊重人才、尊重人民群众首创精神的论述,关于加强执政党建设和反腐倡廉的论述,关于吸收和借鉴人类优秀文明成果的论述。诸如此类的思想,都为我们建设有中国特色社会主义的价值观体系,规划了颇具中国气派和时代特色的蓝图。毫无疑问,它们应当成为指导当代中国社会价值观建设的基本准则。在改革开放和发展社会主义市场经济的历史条件下,有中国特色社会主义价值观体系建设,是一项繁杂巨大的社会工程,需要党和人民作长期的艰苦努力。建议当前可在以下几个方面作较系统深入的探讨,以期梳理当代中国价值观体系的基本脉络。
Contemporary China is entering a new period of modernization in order to develop the socialist market economy. This is an era that needs and must create new values. Comrade Deng Xiaoping’s theory of building socialism with Chinese characteristics embodies the rich values and values that we need in this era. Such as the essay on emancipating the mind and seeking truth from facts, the treatise on patriotism, collectivism and socialism, the exposition on the nature of socialism and “three benefits ”, the discussion on the construction of socialist spiritual civilization, the study on respecting knowledge, Respect for Talents and Respect for the Initiation Spirit of the People, Opinions on Strengthening the Construction of the Ruling Party and Fighting Corruption and Advocating Honesty, and Opinions on Absorbing and Referring to the Outstanding Civilization Achievements of Mankind. All these ideas have built a system of values for socialism with Chinese characteristics and planned a blueprint quite characteristic of the Chinese style and the characteristics of the times. There is no doubt that they should be the basic guideline for guiding the construction of values in contemporary Chinese society. Under the historical conditions of reform and opening up and the development of a socialist market economy, the construction of a socialist system of values with Chinese characteristics is an enormous and complex social project that requires long-term hard work by the party and the people. It is suggested that we should make a more systematic and in-depth discussion in the following aspects in order to sort out the basic context of the contemporary Chinese system of values.
