印珍同志是江苏省武进县安家舍镇人,1920年12月出生在一家杂货店的职员家庭。她7岁时,父母省吃俭用供她上小学,13岁时因家庭经济困难而辍学。见镇上几个同学的父亲在上海做过工,她就瞒着父母与同学们一起到上海杨树浦一家纱厂当童工,以微薄的收入接济父母。1937年8月13日,日军进攻淞沪。中国军队与日军浴血奋战三个月,淞沪沦陷。印珍不愿在日军铁蹄下生活,经租界雇了一条能坐五六人的小民船,从水路回到家乡。
Comrade Yin Zhen was born in Anyijia Town, Wujin County, Jiangsu Province, and was born in a grocery store in December 1920.
