以贵州省当地农家糯高粱品种资源为主要材料,经过3代系统选育后,选出相对稳定的9个新品系GS1~GS9,2007年将这9个品系以仁怀当地“青壳洋”系选品系“青选2号”为对照(ck),在贵阳进行品系比较鉴定试验,结果表明:供试品系中GS8生育期为107d,比对照早熟7d,其单产为426.26kg/667m2,比对照“青选2号”增产17%。其主要生物性状表现为:植株高度253cm,千粒重20.85g,穗粒重50.82g,穗粒数2411粒,角质率80%。该品系具有穗大、粒多、植株高度和千粒重适中、抗旱、抗病虫能力较强的特点,经贵州茅台(白酒)检测实验室检测,总淀粉含量为63.2%,支链淀粉占总淀粉95.40%,符合茅台酒用高粱原料指标,可以在贵州进一步试验示范推广。
