边坡岩体在重力、构造力、地震力以及各种外营力的长期作用下,都有一个向下滑落的趋势,这个趋势受到岩体本身抗剪切、抗破坏力的阻抗,一旦岩体阻抗力小于向下滑落的破坏力时,就会产生各种地质现象,并可能造成灾害。由于高边坡工程造成灾害危害极大,线路一旦受损,轻则造成线路断道,重则会列车脱轨,甚至颠覆列车,造成重大的生命财产损失。因此,要加强铁路高边坡的施工,从而稳定边坡,保护铁路安全。
