透过传统文化的历史延伸脉络,我们可以看出,传统文化本身是一个开放的系统,在新的技术与意识观念的冲击下而不断的更新拓展,而其后的内涵与精神则是民族历史长期积淀的结果,是中华民族所特有的,也是民族形式的灵魂之所在。因此,要使中国特有的传统文化象征符号在包装设计当中得以延伸发展,打造新的民族形式,我们应该在理解的基础上对传统文化象征符号进行再创造。这种在再创造是在理解的基础上,以现代的审美观念对传统文化象征符号中的一些元素加以改造、提炼和运用,使其富有时代特色;或者把传统文化运用到现代设计中来,用以表达设计理念,把其精神元素融入包装设计之中,更具文化性与民族性。
