由于铷和銫的化学性質非常近似,因之用一般化学方法来分别測定其含量是很困难的,文献介紹也极少,虽然光譜分析和火焰分光光度分析是用来测定铷、銫較为理想的方法,但这些方法都必需使用特殊的仪器设备,而这些設备在目前一般化驗室中还下能普遍具备。C.Miller和J.Magee曾提出用紙色层分离法来檢出铷銫。我們試用这个方法分离,然后使铷銫生成Rb_2PbCu(NO_2)_6和Cs_2PbCu(NO_2)_6的三重亚硝酸盐,用此法测定其中亚硝酸根从而間接得知铷銫含量的方法来分析鋰云母和銫榴石中的铷銫。
