I. Introduction SiO_2 is the main component of cement. In the production process of cement industry, the content of SiO_2 in finished products, semi-finished products and raw materials should be often analyzed by screwing method. The common analytical methods are gravimetric method, volumetric method and colorimetric method. As a new field of application of ion selective electrode in cement analysis, this paper introduces a new simple, rapid and accurate method for the determination of SiO 2 content using fluorine electrode. The use of fluorine electrode as the indicator electrode, indirect determination of the possibility of SiO_2, some people from abroad have conducted theoretical studies. In China, the Hunan Institute of Metallurgy and Geology has reported that the direct electrode method is used to measure the SiO 2 in various rocks with fluorine electrode.
